What To Expect

There's a lot of confusion out there about yoga, what it is, what it isn't and how it all works. Here are questions I answer a lot, hopefully the answers are helpful for your search. There are lots of kinds of yoga out there. If you don't find what you're looking for here, Please look at another tradition to find the perfect fit for your needs.

Q: What is yoga?
A:
In it's most simple form yoga is a series of poses that stretch and strengthen the body. You need not be strong or flexible nor expect to do every single pose. Some poses take work and are worked on little by little, some poses come easily. Yoga is not about perfection it's about the process.

Q: What is yoga therapy and who uses it?

There are lots of different forms yoga therapy can take. In my practice,
yoga therapy helps you find freedom and live a passionate life. Either we're working to heal some aspect of your life or we're working towards a goal in your personal or professional life.  Most of my clients are people who've seen other healing professionals and can't find answers or people who have been referred by other healing professionals. Anyone feeling like they'd like to try a more holistic approach to their health is a candidate for yoga therapy.
A: Absolutely anyone. Yoga is especially wonderful for anyone who feels restricted in other kinds of exercise. People with pain, disease or discomfort can find ease and comfort in yoga.  Yoga can be the pathway to other types of exercise.

Additionally anyone looking for peace of mind, a sense of connection and a way to let your spirit soar will enjoy yoga practice. Great for people with little time, busy minds and busy schedules.
